Lu Pra Kob is the name for a traditional Thai massage used since more than 400 years. It uses herbal balls containing special herbs. The blend of such medicinal herbs is wrapped in cotton tissue and applied as a hot compress to the body for the relief of pain and inflammation, or to nourish and soften the skin. The herbal ball is either steamed of heated at temparatures qround 100 C.. Essential oils will evaporate and condense in the cotton tissue in which the herbs are wrapped. The ball is than applied on the skin and transfers the essential oils to the skin.
